I am writing this review because the owner of Lugden, Mic, lost; "gave-away" my girlfriends suitcase when we were in Denver for a wedding the Sept. 15th, 2018 weekend. I do NOT want anyone to deal with what we went through. This seemed like a great idea to check our bags and walk around Denver for a few hours before having to catch the train to the airport, but after only checking our bag for an hour we went back by and my bag was sitting on the side of the van and her bag was completely gone! Again, out there for a wedding! She had shoes, jeweler, expensive purses and pictures of her and her deceased father that she takes everywhere with her to keep him close to her; but her bag was gone. He had no system to track, had zero clue who he had given it and could not call any of the previous people that he had recently given their bags back to them. He quickly ran off in side as I called to the police to get me his liability insurance policy and stated "Oh man I just remembered, her bag was really heavy right? Some guy came by and said it was his bag and there were books in it so I let him take it." WTF!!!!! How does someone take someone's checked bag and run off with it. To make matters worse because we had a plane to catch I called his insurance company the following Monday and his "Insurance Representative" informed me that Lugged Inc has lapsed on their insurance and has zero liability coverage for instances like this.
Don't count on finding this kind of thing. Some silly people put bombs in there. Our Homeland Security people try to head those things off. In Europe, especially GB, you can't even find a trash can on the sidewalks for the same reason. A worker at the train station told us to just throw it on the floor, the people in the green jackets will pick it up. Really. What a world we live in.
Americans are NOT loving their National Parks to death (this tired old mantra has been repeated by extreme environmentalists for decades). In keeping with the globalist ideology of the U.S. National Park management corps, the article entirely misses the point! The experience in the big landscape parks is not being destroyed by too many Americans (citizen owners), but by mass foreign visitation (non-owner guests). What is new are the vast hordes of off-shore tourists, especially from Asia (China and India), that are crushing into the Parks. At prime destinations, 70% of the visitors in Yellowstone are now foreign guests, leaving American park owners to feel like they are visiting a foreign third-world country. More and more Americans are staying home rather than suffer the multi-faceted gauntlet posed by organized mass foreign tourism. When Americans cope by averting their attention from national parks it is an entirely preventable national tragedy. The solution to mass foreign tourism in the National Parks is obvious and can be implemented immediately! Require a U.S. driver’s license or passport at the gate. The solution will cost virtually nothing. Limiting foreign visitation to about 5% of visitors in any month is the only solution that will restore the national park experience for Americans and invite traditional citizen visitors back into their iconic landscapes.
In the States everybody is so concerned about liability.... We tried to store at Hertz (where we dropped the rental); no storage facility, no luck. Try a hotel; I tried several, if you are not a guest then they are not allowed. I tried the Information Centre; no luck, they had some bad experiences.... in the past. But they could not realy help me any further. One advise: try the Greyhound Bus Center. And yes! there you can store your luggage. Even my somewhat bigger suitcase. The lockers are somewhat small but high and deep enough. First 3 hours is to be paid for; $ 3 and after that a dollar for an extra hour.
