When Americans cope by averting their attention from national parks it is an entirely preventable national tragedy. The solution to mass foreign tourism in the National Parks is obvious and can be implemented immediately! Require a U.S. driver’s license or passport at the gate. The solution will cost virtually nothing. Limiting foreign visitation to about 5% of visitors in any month is the only solution that will restore the national park experience for Americans and invite traditional citizen visitors back into their iconic landscapes.
