9. Bishop Castle: Located along Highway 165 in San Isabel National Forest in Custer, the weird and wacky Bishop’s Castle is totally unique. It’s a medieval castle in cowboy country constructed by one man, Jim Bishop. When he was age 15, Mr. Bishop bought the 2 1/2 acres of land in 1959 for $1,250. The structure that started as a family cabin in June 1969 grew over 37 years into the castle visitors see today.

At Albuquerque, New Mexico, Denver Thruway connections are made daily with the Amtrak Southwest Chief. Additionally, the Ski Train operated on the former Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad, which took passengers between Denver and the Winter Park Ski Resort, but it is no longer in service. The Ski Train made its final run to Winter Park on March 29, 2009. The service was revived on a trial basis in 2016 with a great amount of local fanfare. Further development of a mountain corridor rail option, though publicly popular, has been met with resistance from politicians, namely the director of Colorado Department of Transportation[154][not in citation given]. The Ski Train did return to service under Amtrak with the name "Winter Park Express" in 2017, and currently runs only on Saturdays, Sundays, and major holidays during the winter ski seasons.
The 2016 Casillero Del Diablo Rosé begins with an inviting and intriguing aroma of berry fruit, a hint of mint and spice. Tasting the wine reveals great flavor with very nice spice notes and good fresh acidity. It’s nicely sweet and very pleasant to drink. There’s a ton of one dimensional and impossibly sweet rosé out there but this one easily avoids both of those pitfalls. Tangy fruit leads into the dry, lasting and spicy finish. This is a great value for the price!
Although by the close of the 1860s, Denver residents could look with pride at their success establishing a vibrant supply and service center, the decision to route the nation's first transcontinental railroad through Cheyenne, rather than Denver, threatened the prosperity of the young town. A daunting 100 miles away, citizens mobilized to build a railroad to connect Denver to the transcontinental railroad. Spearheaded by visionary leaders including Territorial Governor John Evans, David Moffat, and Walter Cheesman, fundraising began. Within three days, $300,000 had been raised, and citizens were optimistic. Fundraising stalled before enough was raised, forcing these visionary leaders to take control of the debt-ridden railroad. Despite challenges, on June 24, 1870, citizens cheered as the Denver Pacific completed the link to the transcontinental railroad, ushering in a new age of prosperity for Denver.[25]
Although Denver's nickname is the "Mile-High City" because its official elevation is one mile above sea level, defined by the elevation of the spot of a benchmark on the steps of the State Capitol building, the elevation of the entire city ranges from 5,130 to 5,690 feet (1,560 to 1,730 m). According to Geographic Names Information System (GNIS) and the National Elevation Dataset, the city's elevation is 5,278 feet (1,609 m), which is reflected on various websites such as the National Weather Service.[51]

10. Silverthorne Ice Castles: These castles are like Disney’s ‘Frozen’ in the real world. Local artist Brent Christensen makes thousands of tons of ice into sculptures every year using icicles and sprinklers. The water freezes over the icicles creating towers, spires, walls, tunnels and cascades. In sunlight, the towers glow turquoise. By night, the ice glows from a hundred little lights placed in the ice structures.

The NW–SE streets are numbered, while the NE–SW streets are named. The named streets start at the intersection of Colfax Avenue and Broadway with the block-long Cheyenne Place. The numbered streets start underneath the Colfax and I-25 viaducts. There are 27 named and 44 numbered streets on this grid. There are also a few vestiges of the old grid system in the normal grid, such as Park Avenue, Morrison Road, and Speer Boulevard. Larimer Street, named after William Larimer, Jr., the founder of Denver, which is in the heart of LoDo, is the oldest street in Denver.

Hi, we are a party of 6 and we want to come May 17 for lunch. Four of us are treating two coworkers to lunch as a farewell to one of them who is changing jobs. We have some timing issues. Our two guests of honor have 45 minutes for lunch and can't leave for lunch until 12:30 p.m. Also, another one in this group must leave by 1:00. Therefore, could we make a reservation for 6 people on May 17 at 12:15 p.m. and have 3 of us arrive at 12:15 and put in lunch orders for all 6 of us. I would arrive at 12:35ish with the two guests of honor. My plan is that this would be a way to speed up the service and meet everyone's time constraints.

When he noticed that bottles had been stolen, he spread a rumour amongst the locals that a devil lived in his cellar. Hence the name of Casillero del Diablo, the devil's cellar. Since 2008, Diablo wines have received more than 80 awards from internationally recognised competitions, including 8 Gold medals and 18 Silver medals.
